Our motivations

Our project began with field research conducted with students from higher education institutions. Through their experiences, we learned that starting a new academic year can be intimidating and that it is often difficult to quickly find resources and information that match their interests. Students also told us that communications are scattered across different channels and that some of the links they find while searching are outdated.

At the same time, we discovered the reality faced by resource people who struggle to reach their target communities. They have to devote significant effort to promoting their initiatives in order to connect with the students concerned, largely because existing digital platforms are not adapted to their needs.

This is how Looupe was born: a social network that centralizes information shared by registered users. Our goal is to make it easier for students and resource people within higher education institutions to discover resources, activities and communities in a personalized way.

Looupe is also the story of a meeting between students interested in entrepreneurship. Through activities offered by resource people, we had the opportunity to meet and co-found this project. We believe that every student should have the opportunity to meet people, build connections, discover new possibilities and have experiences that go beyond their university studies. We believe that the student experience should not be lived in isolation.

Just as it did for us, a single encounter can change an entire journey.
